Hello, I’m Shane Wilson.
I started out in Real Estate Photography since Real Estate is my primary profession (Just Google Shane Wilson Real Estate).
This year I’m putting a particular focus on developing the modeling and portrait photography side of my business.
Enjoy my site and I am always looking to collaborate.
Feel free to text or call 423-800-5414 if you are interested in working with me.
Whether it’s me or another photographer you are looking to hire there are several must-have PRINCIPLES to look for when you are searching for a photographer.
How many times have you tried to contact a photographer to schedule a session only to get voicemail with no followup?
Or a text with no answer?
If you call, either me or my assistant will pick up the phone or call you back within a reasonable time frame.
If you text, I will respond back.
Fast Editing & Delivery
Have you ever had to wait, wait, and wait for those other photographers to edit the photos?
It depends on the project I am shooting, but for most simple shoots I strive for a 48 to 72 hour turn-around time to digital download. For Real Estate shoots, I aim for 24 hours.
**Video editing and video shoots will take a significantly longer turn-around time and are determined on a project-by-project basis.**
Wow! Now when we get to pricing, that is where it gets interesting.
You’ll find rates for services vary GREATLY among photographers, but they are usually based on experience. So if the price is extremely low, the quality will usually be low as well. On the other hand, some photographers think a little to HIGHLY of their work and charge too much for the quality offered.
My rates depend on the project type and estimated time to complete, but my goal is quality work at reasonable rates.
Some of my services have posted rates. If you are looking into Real Estate or Drone shots, then check out those pages to see my rates. Headshots and Modeling shoots will vary depending on the project.
Professional Gear & Equipment
Cell phone and low end cameras are great, but if you are looking to pay for professional photos you need to make sure your “photographer” actually has the gear and setup to make your photos stand out!
I’ve invested in my equipment and keeping it updated. From my Nikon DSLR to my Lighting to my Mavic Pro 2 Drone, my gear is made to deliver high-end quality photos.
Professional Editing Software & Experience
Can I let you in on a secret? A lot of the “magic” as a professional photographer happens in the editing software and our experience of using that software. This is where the amateurs are exposed from the professionals. Make sure your photographer is EXPERIENCED in photo editing. Ask them what software they use and absolutely view samples of their work!
I use the latest versions of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for my shoots. You can also feel at ease knowing I have countless hours of experience working in these programs.
Licensed FAA Commercial Drone Operator
Don’t be fooled by the “fly by night” drone photographers. Check to make sure they are licensed to fly for commercial work. If they are not, they are not only breaking the law but most likely delivering extremely poor quality work! Ask for your Drone photographer to show you their FAA license.
I am a licensed remote drone pilot with the FAA. I have the expertise and experience you are looking for in a Drone operator to give you amazing aerial shots.
Professionalism and Safety
Professionalism and Safety are also two key factors to consider. Research who you are working with. Are they professional in how they talk, dress and act when discussing the shoot with you? Do they have guidelines and policies in place for their shoots?
When you schedule your photo shoot, I will send a list of guidelines and policies for the type of shoot you have placed. I always conduct my business and shoots in a professional manner.
The above qualities are what you should be looking for in a ANY Professional Photographer.
I know that choosing the right photographer is a MAJOR decision
Let me make it even EASIER for you and give you the most important step in evaluating a photographer.
Portfolio’s – I’ve saved the most important for last
If a photographer doesn’t have a website and doesn’t have a portfolio to show you then don’t walk but RUN!
Every photographer has their own style. Its not only important to make sure that the photographer knows what they are doing by showing you proof of their work but that their style matches what you are looking for in your product.
